Vision Quest: Marvel Studios to Introduce Jocasta in Upcoming Disney+ Series

Jocasta Joining MCU Vision Quest

Marvel Studios is gearing up to expand its roster of cybernetic characters with Vision Quest, a highly anticipated Disney+ series set to dive deeper into the story of Vision. According to an exclusive report from Nexuspointnews, the show will introduce Jocasta, a cunning and powerful AI with ties to Vision’s comic book history. Here’s everything we know about this exciting addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Recent reports from Nexus Point News reveal that Vision Quest is set to bring Jocasta, a fan-favorite character from Marvel Comics, to the small screen. This AI entity, with a complex and intriguing backstory, promises to shake up the narrative. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been shared:

  • Casting Details: Marvel Studios is reportedly seeking a Black actress in her 40s to 60s to portray Jocasta. The character is described as “cunning, powerful, determined, and motivated by revenge,” hinting at a pivotal antagonistic or morally complex role.
  • Comic Book Origins: In the comics, Jocasta is an AI created by Ultron, designed to be his bride but later gaining sentience and aligning with the Avengers. Her introduction in Vision Quest could explore her connection to Vision, who was also created by Ultron in the MCU.
  • Story Implications: With Vision Quest focusing on Vision’s search for identity post-WandaVision, Jocasta’s vengeful motivations could challenge his understanding of self and his place in the world. Her presence might also tie into the rumored return of Ultron, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown.

We do not know how much of Jocasta’s backstory we will get in Vision Quest but can assume that the both of them-Vision and Jocasta, are going to both have a sense of self moment, since they do not have their core memories, at least we assume that is how they will represent Jocasta. For now Vision Quest does not have a release date but we can expect it most likely sometime in 2026.
