Marvel fans we knew this was coming since the-Void being a pivotal role in Avengers Doomsday goes in line with comic lore. According to a recent report from DanielRPK, the mysterious and desolate Void is set to play a major role in the upcoming MCU blockbuster. But what does this mean for the Avengers, we also know that the scooper clarified that he was talking about the Void from Loki not The Sentry from Thunderbolts or New Avengers.

What We Know About The Void in Avengers: Doomsday
The Void, a barren wasteland first introduced in the MCU through Loki (2021), is a realm where pruned timelines and variants are sent by the TVA (Time Variance Authority). It’s a chaotic dumping ground filled with remnants of destroyed realities, from broken buildings to forgotten characters. Now, it’s stepping into the spotlight for Avengers: Doomsday, set to release on December 18, 2026.
Avengers Doomsday will bring us Battleworld where we will see multiple worlds come together at the hands of Dr. Doom while pitting many heroes and villains against each other. Since this is what has happened in the comics while having the Void be present amongst the lands, this makes this a natural choice since they are going to follow the Battleworld storyline in Avengers: Doomsday.
Final Thoughts
The Void’s return in Avengers: Doomsday is a natural choice for Marvel. On one hand, it sets the stage for a multiversal epic that could redefine the MCU’s Phase Six. On the other, it risks alienating fans who feel the location is overused or uninspired. Ultimately this feels like the right way to go for Marvel, even if it is expected. After all isn’t that the best things fans can hope for is comic accurate projects.
