Avengers:Doomsday Nick Fury Added To The Cast?

Avengers: Doomsday set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026 has been the talk of the town in many towns throughout this universe. Among the whirlwind of casting news and multiversal plotlines, a fresh rumor has fans mixed in excitement. Samuel L. Jackson is reportedly reprising his iconic role as Nick Fury, the former S.H.I.E.L.D. director turned S.A.B.E.R. commander. This comes from scooper Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus.

Since his debut in the post-credits scene of 2008’s Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury has been the glue holding the MCU together. From assembling the original Avengers to navigating cosmic threats, Fury’s strategic mind and sharp wit have made him a fan favorite. However, his recent appearances in Secret Invasion and The Marvels left some fans wanting more, as the character’s role felt underutilized since it wasn’t even his actual self(Secret Invasion) . His rumored return in Avengers: Doomsday could be the redemption arc fans have been waiting for.

  • A Founding Avenger’s Comeback: Fury was instrumental in forming the Avengers, and his absence has been noticeable. His return could anchor the new team facing Doctor Doom. Since there will actually be many teams from different universes come together to fight the biggest villain yet.
  • Tony Starks Friend: With Tony being not just another hero, but the original Avenger that began the MCU, along side Fury, these two have has an amazing history together. Nick seeing Doom with Starks face could be an amazing sight to see.

This has not been confirmed by Marvel-aka “rumor”, but Alex Perez has been an overall reliable scooper for a long time now. Whether it ends up being the case or not, to have the real Nick back and have him face the appearance of one of his best friends, we will see how it all ends/begins on December 18, 2026 when it hits theaters.
