Spider-Man Brand New Day has a stacked roster, and there are actors who still don’t have confirmed characters of who they will end up playing, like Sadie Sink. There have been a lot of rumors of her playing Mayday Parker but still nothing confirmed yet. Now we have a new report with Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus about her being an “ally” of Peter Parkers, but not Spider-man’s.
Ally Only To Peter?
This comes from their routine Discord Q/A (August Q&A Part 3). If Sadie will be playing an ally to Peter but not to Spider-Man, could she really be May in Brand New Day?
- Yes: Given that May Parker would potentially be from an alternate universe they could tie her story with Peter and how she wants him to live a normal life rather than that of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Since maybe she has gone through a lot with her powers in her last universe and sees how damaging they can be, so ops for Peter to not use them.
- No: On the other hand, given that May is basically his sister from another universe with powers, the team up of both of them with Spidey powers would almost be too awesome not to put in the film.
Could She Be Gwen Stacy?
Yes, as we have heard that MJ’s role will be minimal within the film, giving way for Gwen Stacey to come in. This would make sense for multiple reasons, but this would be before she becomes Spider-Gwen. At this point it is likely to be Gwen than any other character, at least from all the information that has been given for now.
Final Thoughts
Peter has had multiple female friends throughout the comics but who Sadie will in fact play, is still a mystery. Notorious characters like the Black Cat, doesn’t make much sense given that she is way more affiliated with Spider-Man rather than Peter, but I feel we will all find out soon of who she will be playing before the movie actually hits theaters since we have a long way to go before Brand New Day releases in theaters on July 31, 2026.
