The anticipation for James Gunn’s Superman film keeps growing and growing as their marketing team keeps ramping things up. With the movie dropping just weeks away many DC fans are on the edge of their seats as we edge closer to the July 11, 2025, release date. A new teaser dropped today, though short, and not a lot of new footage shown, we still get a couple of good scenes thrown into the mix.

Trailer Breakdown New Scenes
- Epic Scale and Action: The first “new” scene from this teaser is Ultraman taking on Superman in the football field. We have seen the receiving end of the tackle after the fact but not the part leading up to this tackle on Superman by Ultraman. Now we see in full force Ultraman launch himself at Superman before he makes contact.
- Fortress of Solitude: Right after this football action scene we get Superman leaving the Fortress of Solitude stating “gotta get back to the fray”. He has all of his robots behind him as he’s walking out of his base stating this phrase.
Final Thoughts
James Gunn’s Superman seams more on the light hearted side instead of the darker tone of Superman that we have received in the recent years with the Snyderverse. Corenswet definitely gives off more family friendly vibes with his Superman and we are seeing that, in the trailers they have shown. The CGI looks really well done for these fight scenes so let’s hope we receive a ton more in the film.
