The official Fantastic Four account has dropped a new teaser seemingly confirming what we know already going into the film, that Sue Storm is pregnant. They released a extremely short teaser that is literally only four seconds long but what is said, and the context around of what’s happening is enough for Marvel fans to put two and two together. Also a little easter egg is that the Fantastic Four is known for releasing things on the iconic “4” date, so with this only being 4 seconds long there’ is definitely on coincidence there.
In this short teaser we see Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch, with Sue Storma(Invisible Woman) and Reed Richards(Mr. Fantastic). Johnny opens up with “you’re late” Sue responds “what do you mean” then johnny repeats her “what do you mean what do I mean, you’re late for dinner” Sue responds “yes we are.” It is a very short exchange between these two with Reed on the sidelines, but given how defensive and taken off guard Sue was with Johnny saying “you’re late” and her reply of asking what he meant by that, we can assume she thought he was saying you’re late for your period. This would imply that she is pregnant since it obviously has not come yet when it was supposed to already.
We know that at this point Sue is pregnant in this film and it has been confirmed even before this teaser, but with this teaser adding context it’s a nice cherry on top. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a monumental film with this movie being a part of the MCU now. Given that Sue is pregnant, fans will likely finally see one of the strongest beings in the MCU come to light and that is Sue’s and Reed’s son Franklin Richards.
The cast includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, with additional roles filled by Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer.
