Donkey Kong Movie officially Registered by Nintendo and Universal Pictures

A Donkey Kong Movie Is In The Works

The Nintendo Cinematic Universe is growing, and it will only get bigger from here on out. A Donkey Kong movie is in the works! Well, basically you can say that because Universal Pictures with Nintendo have registered a copyrite for this film. Meaning they will be making this project sometime in the near future. With the NCU(Nintendo Cinematic Universe) starting off strong with The Super Mario Bros. Movie witch destroyed at the box office, it only makes sense for them to continue to expand their universe. Given that Nintendo is packed with such awesome characters, including Link and Zelda which we also know a Zelda movie is in the works. For now though, we are talking about Donkey Kong.

It has been reported and confirmed that Nintendo along with Universal Pictures have officially received the rights for this film so no other company can try and get this made. You can find the official document here. Many gaming fans throughout the world are happy about this announcement since it pretty much guarantees the film is going to be made.

Seth Rogan was a hit with fans with how well his voice portrayed the legend that is DK(Donkey Kong). He will continue to voice DK in his film that will be tied to the Nintendo Universe. The Super Mario Bros Movie broke over a billion at the box office and hopefully legends like this will make a record breaking track record of making over a billion with the NCU.
