Cinemacon has unveiled a lot of wonderful projects and movies to come to fans across the globe. With it coming to an end, Disney is the one to wrap of this event with their panel. Within it they talked about their slate for 2025 and revealed new footage for some key movies such as Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four: First Steps. Kevin Feige who is the president of Marvel Studios spoke about the infamous marvel project Avengers: Doomsday. There were others mentioned and shown such as Lilo & Stitch 2, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Predator: Badlands, and many more. We will be focusing on the new footage from Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four, as well as Feige’s comments on Avengers: Doomsday.
The Thunderbolts* footage unveiled at CinemaCon was a wild ride from the start. It opens with the misfit squad packed into a van, rumbling toward an unknown target. Inside, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) trades barbs with Red Guardian (David Harbour) over their gear—Bucky’s icy quip about his Hydra-made suit cuts through Red Guardian’s bravado. In the back, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell) swap war stories, their chatter buzzing with energy. Suddenly, the van plows into a structure, unleashing a no-holds-barred skirmish.

Critics have wondered if a team of similarly powered fighters might feel redundant, but the scene proves otherwise. The raw, messy melee pits the Thunderbolts against their enemies in a thrilling slugfest. As the dust settles, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) calls them to Avengers Tower, pitching a united front. The crew, still more rogue than regimented, brushes her off. Enter The Sentry (Lewis Pullman), shrouded in mystery, who sends a Thunderbolt crashing into a window with a flick of his wrist. The clip rounds out with chaos in New York, blending new shots of The Sentry’s rampage with familiar beats. Even with superhero saturation setting in, this looks like the kind of blockbuster shake-up MCU devotees crave.
Kevin Feige didn’t hold back, dazzling the CinemaCon crowd with a peek at The Fantastic Four: The First Steps. The footage whisks us into an alternate MCU reality where the Fantastic Four are seasoned icons, cherished by their world. It starts with the team stepping onto a talk show set, basking in their fame. Later, Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) and Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) show up late to a meal with Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bacharach). Sue breaks the tension with big news—she’s expecting. Johnny cheers her on, tossing a playful jab at Reed about his parenting prep.

The vibe shifts when the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) streaks into the story, sounding the alarm: their planet’s days are numbered. With Galactus’s ominous silhouette darkening New York’s skyline, urgency takes hold. A worried bystander asks Reed if they’ll pull through, and his hesitant “I’m not sure” reveals the weight on his shoulders. We see him buried in work, wrestling with their duty as heroes. Sue and Reed share a heartfelt pledge for their child’s sake, and the trailer peaks with Reed addressing the masses, vowing to shield them. It closes on a breathtaking note: the Silver Surfer soaring off, flames roaring behind her.
Now moving onto Avengers: Doomsday with Feige’s remarks. He stated that we have yet to see the full cast revealed for Avengers: Doomsday. This is what many fans expected since there were many names missing from the chairs of the casting event marvel had recently. Even though Halle Berry mentioned recently she will not be in Doomsday, you really never know since there is more to be revealed with the cast for this film. As far as what teams will be focused in Avengers: Doomsday he mentioned that the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts and original X-Men will all be in on a fight together against Doctor Doom.

There is so much happening with Disney and specifically the MCU. Hopefully the new info and footage will bring Marvel fans out of their rut and get excited once again for their super hero’s to battle it out at a massive scale exceeding the likes of Infinity War and End Game.
