Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Gameplay Trailer Is One of The Most Hated COD Trailers In Years

Black Ops 7 Gameplay Reveal Trailer Hate

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has been hugely controversial at the moment, with the gameplay reveal being heavily disliked, and with the comments being filled with Battlefield hype attacks, it is not looking good for Black Ops 7. The top comment on Black Ops 7 Gameplay Reveal Trailer is “This actually made me Pre-Order Battlefield 6,” with over 61,000 likes. Meanwhile The actual video has 36K likes versus 163K dislikes. Let’s talk about why this is happening, but first judge it for yourself by watching it first.

Well, there can be a lot of reasons, or a minimal amount depending on the person, but it’s not hard to see the pattern of success and failures of the Call of Duty Franchise over the years. Here’s some reasons.

  • Cash Grab: Over the years it has been more and more infested with micro transactions with spewing an insane amount of skins that are so jacked up in price for it being “AI” made. Not to mention with season passes and all of that jazz that comes with it. People are fed up with them pushing money at the forefront of the franchise instead of focusing on making a better game.
  • Recycled Content: “Omnimovement” was a huge controversial topic for Black Ops 6 with the overall not receiving it well. Now they are doubling down with wall hopping/running. Getting back to Black Ops 3 Days, sprinkled with Advanced/Infinite Warfare. People are down for playing a game with more “freedom” but there comes a point to where it’s too much for the overall fanbase. with people backwards diving/sliding 360 sniping mid air in Black Ops 6, many people were done with that game after one week playing it. Even for Zombies they are sticking with their Black Ops 6 system which many people actually enjoyed, but many people want the classic system back in the Black Ops 3 Zombies days.
  • Looks And Feels Nothing Like Call of Duty: Someone who has not played Call of Duty in years watches this trailer and goes, “what the hell is that?” Well its Once Human, I mean it really looks like that game at face value. This vibe is not the vibe Call of Duty fans wanted. Call of Duty is not known for being a realistic game, but come on. The skins at this point in the game are atrocious. Why is Battlefield 6 so highly praised versus the latest and weakest by Cod? A big factor is that Battlefield legit feels and looks like a real life battlefield. Many who have served in the armed forces have commented about how well Battlefield does at making such a realistic scene of real war captured in a video game. Then there is Call of Duty Black Ops 7 where you will be trying to shoot robots in the face. This is no doubt the direction of future warfare in real life will take someday, but it is not what we wanted to play in a video game to have fun, at least not in a Call of Duty game.

I am very passionate about Call of Duty but have fallen out of love of the franchise over the years. Don’t even get me started on the hackers/cheaters that have only multiplied, with anti-cheat barely catching ones from time to time it seems. I will say that Battlefield 6 will have a real chance of competing with Call of Duty Black Ops 7, but only if even they put a smash on the cheaters, both of these games have problems with hackers like many others. However, what is the point in having an extensive anti-cheat downloaded when it virtually has almost no impact in game. Hope is still out there for Black Ops 7 but it is minimal, with the dislikes only growing more and more. When it comes out people might be hyped for it, but will it laster longer than Black Ops 7? I think not.
