Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are the next big multiversal projects in the MCU. We have Spider-Man Now Way Home, but there is surely more of a mulriversal aspect in Doomsday and Secret Wars. Fans know that the MCU will get a reboot bot not quite a full reboot with brand new faces for every character. According to insider Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus, Elizabeth Olsen will not be recast after the reboot.
Why This Could Mak Sense
- Key Role: Wanda is the one that would have killed Thanos if he didn’t rain fire on his own team. She is one of the most powerful beings in the MCU. There is plenty of work for her to remain relevant for the new MCU after the reboot. She could even be on Dooms team in Doomsday/Secret Wars, so we would have to see her redemption arc some to pass in a new light.
- Age: Elizabeth Olsen is currently 36 years old, to younger folk she may be a little old but that is plenty of room for her to stick it out with the MCU for many years to come, while only continuing to amplify her Wanda Maximoff
- Others Recast: Many will be recast who are more of a “veteran” or even those who did not have significant roles in the MCU. They could recast Elizabeth, but she is a fan favorite that a lot of people feel like she will always be the face of The Scarlet Witch. There are others who seem to not click as much with the fans for certain characters but we will see how it all really plays out after Secret Wars
Final Thoughts
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff( The Scarlet Witch) just feels right for me and many fans of Marvel. This includes having her as Wanda for many years after Secret Wars. This is only a report, but it just feels right now to recast her so let’s hope this one comes out to be true in the end after the MCU reboot.
