The actor, who stole hearts as Tony Stark/Iron Man, is back in the MCU fold, this time stepping into the menacing boots of Doctor Doom. However, many wonder if we will see RDJ as Iron Man from a different universe. Now speculations are only growing stronger.

If you are not familiar with the comics of Marvel and even DC, you should know that when a superhero dies, they are never truly dead. As the case with Ironman, RDJ could play a version of Iron Man just not the same version we saw die on our main Earth in Avengers: Endgame. In theory, he could battle himself, stranger things have happened in the MCU.
- Why Fans Have Mixed Feelings: Many fans feel it is time to move on and that Downey’s Iron Man should “stay dead”. Fans want his death to mean something instead of bringing back old charters from time and time again. The thing is, this will be different on a whole new level if they do, but nothing is confirmed yet. We just know the comics in which he shared, and that they include Iron Man fighting Doom.
