Marvel continues to expand the marketing with the highly anticipated release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. The latest TV Spot trailer, has been more impactful with fans and critics alike than the ones they have released this past week. Titled “Are We Safe”.
Key Moments
- Setting and Atmosphere: The trailer opens with the press asking the team questions, specifically “how” they defeated Galactus. Which we know and the team addresses, that they did not. The team looks visibly shaken when addressing the press, this is likely because they probably just had their encounter with Galactus.
- Family Dynamics: A significant focus of the trailer is the family bond among the Fantastic Four. Sue is seen holding Franklin in the background as a worried mother for her son.
- Galactus’s Offer: The team went to negotiate with Galactusbut in turn the Devourer of Worlds asked for Franklin and of course that was “too high of price” as Franklin’s life is priceless. Galactus wants Franklin because he senses his massive cosmic power.
- Eyes of Galactus: The trailer showcases the eyes of Galactus for the first time in any trailer that we have seen prior for this film. during this scene with their meeting with Galactus we see just how massive he is compared to their tiny selves. As Galactus’s eyes glow buildings above them.
- Are We Safe: Short answer “I don’t know”, is what Reed replies to a reporter when asked this question. A man was just asked to sacrifice his child for the world, of course he is going to be shaken up at this point and not know what the future holds.

Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), the team’s powerhouse with a rocky exterior. Last but not least especially within the trailer is baby Franklin, Sue’s and Reeds child.
Final Thoughts
Fantastic Four: First Steps is nearly days away from us, releasing on the 25th of this month. It seems the new norm is now releasing a teaser trailer practically every single day leading up to its theater release. We understand marketing and gaining hype for the movie, but man they really are releasing a ton of TV Spots. One thing they have done a great job at doing is teasing Galactus without showing his full body and waiting for that to be in the theaters. This is a well played move that should stay that way till we see this cosmic being in full display on the big screen.
