BLACKPINK’s Head Banging Comeback: “JUMP” Has KPOP Fans In a Frenzy

JUMP Official BLACKPINK Comeback Music Video Released

After a three-year hiatus from group releases, BLACKPINK has stormed back onto the scene with their electrifying new single, “Jump.” Premiered live during the opening night of their Deadline World Tour in South Korea, the track has already sent shockwaves through the global music community. Accompanied by a high-energy music video, “Jump” showcases BLACKPINK’s signature blend of bold beats, fierce vocals, and unapologetic charisma with a major EDM vibe.

BLACKPINK consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa—has been a dominant force in K-pop since their debut, known for their genre-defying sound and larger-than-life performances. After focusing on solo projects and navigating changes in their professional landscape, the quartet reunited to kick off their Deadline World Tour on July 5, 2025, at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The debut of “Jump” during this show wasn’t just a performance—it was a statement. This is BLACKPINK reclaiming their throne with a track that’s both fresh and unmistakably theirs(in a different way).

  • Why It Matters: “Jump” is BLACKPINK’s first group release since 2023’s “The Girls,” marking a significant moment for fans (known as BLINKs) who’ve eagerly awaited new music. The song’s release also signals a new partnership with distributor The Orchard, moving away from their previous deal with Interscope Records.
  • The Vibe: Described as a “techno-inspired dance-heavy track,” “Jump” blends powerful beats with an unpredictable hook, delivering an addictive energy that’s perfect for both stadiums and dance floors.

While many fans having been waiting for their comeback, this was not the BLACKPINK that many were used to. “Jump” the tone of the vocals as well as beat takes a different direction from BLACKPINKS norm. Even in the music video, it was displayed throughout the video that this was like a EDM concert that hit the streets instead of a club. The girls themselves did not have a lot of synchronized choreography, that we have typically seen not just with their group, but throughout all of Kpop. This took many fans by surprise, some in a good way and some others in the wrong way.

If you are a Kpop fan you have almost undoubtedly heard of the massive Kpop giant group, that is BLACKPINK, heck even if you don’t follow Kpop you could know of this group because they really have such a global presence. Their comeback song JUMP is anything but traditional, but is not this another reason to love this inspiring group of powerhouse artists? The answer is yes, we love them like many other Kpop fans out there and are anxiously awaiting more songs to come our way.
