During Disney's Investor Day presentation in December of 2020, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige officially announced the Fantastic Four will be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a featured film. During the invostor day presentation he said, "Finally, I'm happy to announce a film about one of the truly iconic Marvel families. In fact, Marvel's First Family: Fantastic Four. We're working on a feature now, and it will be directed by the director of our recent Spider-Man films, Jon Watts." Fans were also given a glimpse at Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four logo in a brief video clip included with Feige's announcement.
This announcement and statement of "we're working on a feature now", means that pre-production for the Fantastic Four has begun. John Krasinksi and his wife Emily Blunt are the fans top picks to play Mr. Fantastic and The Invisible Woman in Marvel's first family, but Marvel hasn't officially commented on any castings yet. However, fans are just excited to hear an official announcement the the Fantastic Four are coming!
